UltraSuperGuppy Indicator
« on: June 22, 2015, 05:52:44 PM »
Hi All,

We are continuously working to improve our indicators and we have developed a new version of the SuperGuppy Indicator with a 4th "Ultra" group which gives us a longer term view of the trend on the chart.

We will be uploading a free upgrade for our eSignal customers, to this post later this week. In the mean time I have uploaded a screen grab.

The new Ultra-SuperGuppy Indicator for eSignal.

Place the file in the following location

Documents_Interactive Data_Formulas_My Formulas

Then from within eSignal, right click the chart, select Insert Study from the menu, then select the My Formulas Tab and select the ANTSSYS UltraSuperGuppy v1 ES.efs from the list and click Apply.

Hi Anthony

With the introduction of this new group of averages, what changes do you suggest to trading / trade selection strategy? Does the 1000 EMA line have significance similar to the 300 EMA line? Or is the intent purely to show the longer-term trend?

Hi David

It is purely to show the longer term trend and to be cautious about taking an opposing trade to the long term trend unless there is enough reward to risk in the trade. However the 1000 does have a significance in terms of support/resistance.

I am using this on a 5 pip range bar chart and is proving to be useful.

Thanks Anthony.

You also look to have a pretty wide zone, judging from the spread of the ANTS around 0900hr on the EURJPY chart. Are you finding 10 - 15 to be too restrictive?

Hi David

On that screen grab I didn't put a zone on, purely to show the UltraSuperGuppy in all its glory. The ANTS on that chart are filtered by Stochastic only. But a 20 pip zone around the 1000 works quite well too on a 5 pip range bar chart.

If anyone would like Ultra ANTS to go with the UltraSuperGuppy, let me know and I will post a version that will only fire signals in the direction of the Ultra SuperGuppy.

Hi Anthony

I'd certainly be interested to try the Ultra ANTS. Might be helpful on the days my discipline is a bit lacking!
